We aim to construct a nature-like smart environment with sensors everywhere. They are not only able to perceive, react, or communicate, but also exhibit adaptability to self-repair, rejuvenate, or seamlessly degrade back to the earth, thereby commencing a sustainable life cycle.

Our Research Focus

The lab takes interdisciplinary approach to push the boundaries of building scalable and resilient computational devices for applications in human-computer interaction, ubiquitous computing, and printed/flexible electronics. We particularly focus on solving the tension between scaling up the functionality, quantity, and robustness of the computational devices, but meanwhile making them less harmful. Research interest spans digital fabrication, material innovation, hardware/system design, machine learning and AI.
